Treatments includes the cutting/pruning of dead portions of shrubs and tree limbs by hand with chainsaws and pole saws within, and to a set distance of, each campsite. Cut material would be yarded by hand or low ground pressure rubber-tracked/tired machinery to access points for chipping. Depending on award of optional work item 3 and contractor identified markets, contractor may broadcast chips back onsite not exceed 2 inches in depth or remove from contract area.
Restoration of staging areas, skid trails, tractor roads to near pretreatment conditions is required and anticipated to be accomplished through a combination of equipment and hand tools.
If funding dictates and it is in the best interest of the government, work items may be awarded by Unit/Acre and for amounts less than the total acreage estimates based on the unit prices quoted.
A site visit is scheduled for July 31 to view the project area and discuss the objectives of this contract. The meeting will take place at 10 am local time at the intersection of Long Canyon
