About this file
This is a Statement of Objectives (SOO) from the US Department of Agriculture for bulk fuel supply and delivery services supporting forest-wide military operations.
The project, titled "Bulk Diesel & Unleaded Fuel for Forest-wide IRT Projects," requires the vendor to supply and deliver fuel for forest-wide operations during a Forest/Military partnership from June 20, 2026 through July 30, 2026. The performance location is Trapper Creek Job Corps Center, Milepost 6.0 on West Fork Highway, Montana 473. The vendor must maintain two 500-gallon storage tanks at the site—one for on-highway Number 2 diesel and one for 87 octane gasoline—with estimated daily usage of 200 gallons of diesel and 100 gallons of gasoline. Fuel deliveries are estimated at twice weekly, with the vendor required to respond to delivery requests within 48 hours notice. Additionally, the vendor must provide a certified fuel truck with pump for transfer, with tank capacity between 1,500 and 2,500 gallons, to remain on-site for additional fuel storage and transfer. No operator is required after truck delivery and setup. The schedule will be coordinated with the vendor to provide tank refills within 48 hours of notification. The document includes an attachment with a map showing the storage tank location relative to Hamilton, Montana, and the surrounding Bitterroot National Forest area.
