Work may also include optional bid items consisting of lean-to demolition, prefabricated storage structure installation, or stand-alone lean-to storage structure construction. Key material specifications include prefinished steel panel siding (Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation Classic Rib Panel or approved equal) with minimum 26-gauge steel and PVDF finish, 18-gauge hollow metal exterior doors with insulated cores, vinyl or fiberglass window frames with double-pane insulated glazing and low-E coating meeting ENERGY STAR Northern Climate standards (U-factor 0.30 or lower), weather-resistive barrier (Tyvek CommercialWrap or approved equal), pre-finished metal flashing compatible with the siding system, aluminum soffit and fascia components, and sealants and paints suitable for exterior applications. Optional storage structures include a prefabricated 16 ft x 24 ft building suitable for northern climate conditions and stand-alone lean-to structures with pressure-treated framing, minimum 6-foot clear interior height, minimum 3:12 roof slope, and galvanized chain-link fencing with an 8-foot rolling gate. All submittals require contractor product data, manufacturer specifications, finish and color information, and shop drawings where applicable. The Government retains final approval authority for all material color selections, and no materials may be ordered or installed prior to Government approval. Installation must comply with manufacturer requirements and applicable building codes, with all work coordinated to maintain continuous water and air barriers throughout the building envelope.
