About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the removal of a factory-installed pickup bed from a 2026 Chevrolet 3500 HD (Single Rear Wheel) pickup truck and installation of a replacement CM Truck Bed (Model 8'6/84/54/42). The specific vehicle is identified by VIN 1GC4KSEY1TF291258 and currently features a factory OEM bed with a backup camera.

The contractor is responsible for four primary task areas: (A) safe removal of the OEM bed including disconnection of all electrical systems, backup camera, sensors, fuel filler, and auxiliary connections without damage to the truck frame or chassis; (B) preparation of the chassis by verifying measurements and mounting compatibility, positioning wiring harnesses and fuel filler components, and providing necessary mounting hardware; (C) installation of the CM bed to manufacturer specifications including proper mounting, alignment of fuel filler neck, lighting, license plate lighting, reverse sensors, and comprehensive electrical connection and testing of brake lights, turn signals, reverse lights, and marker lights; and (D) quality assurance through full structural and electrical inspection, DOT compliance testing, and clearance verification. The deliverables are the completed OEM bed removal, fully installed CM Truck Bed, and documentation of work performed. Work begins August 1, 2026, with an estimated completion timeline of 8-12 weeks. Acceptance criteria require the bed to be mounted to manufacturer specifications, all electrical and safety systems to function correctly, absence of fault codes or warning indicators, and final inspection approval by a government or agency representative. The contractor must follow all safety protocols and industry standards, and any changes, unexpected issues, or additional parts must receive approval before proceeding.
