NOTE- Revision to qualifications: Section 5. Qualification of Bidders:

5.3 Bidders are to submit the following required licenses and/or certifications:

• Plumbing Contractor and/or Specialty Contractor License for irrigation systems

• International Society of Arboriculture Certifications

• Florida Green Industries Best Management Practices (B.M.P.) Certification

Consumer Services

• FDOT TTC Advanced and Intermediate Certification required for at least one worker on-site

Question 2: Can you confirm pruning of Washingtonian palms will be included on the pricing sheet? It is currently excluded, but there are Washingtonian palms within the boundaries.

Response 2: The District has confirmed the need for pruning of the Washingtonian palms at the site. We have updated EXHIBIT B to have this cost included within your bid submittal. Please use the REVISED EXHIBIT B

– Bid Pricing Sheet.

Question 3: Can you confirm if fertilization is included? It was mentioned in the pre-bid this was not included, but that service is listed on the frequency sheet for beds and palms.

Response 3: The District has confirmed the need for fertilizing. We have updated EXHIBIT B to have this cost included within your bid submittal. Please use REVISED EXHIBIT B – Bid Pricing Sheet.

Question 4: Will irrigation maintenance be required for this area? If so, will a zone count be provided via addendum or map update?

Response 4: Irrigation will not be required in this parcel. We have updated EXHIBIT B to remove this requirement from the bid.

Question 5: Will the weekly pond maintenance include open mowed areas surrounding the ponds or just string trimming immediately around pond perimeter? Will ponds surrounded by trees require maintenance within 18” of the water line?

Response 5: The pond maintenance will include all mowing around the pond. There is a required “buffer” around all ponds that will not be required to be maintained as this is performed by the District’s Planning & Engineering Department. These guidelines are described in the scope Section 12 Lakes/Ponds/Canals in EXHIBIT A – Scope of Services. The ponds in these areas have a natural tree line. The awarded contractor would be required to maintain tree skirt height to allow mowing without any obstacles. This is also covered in the EXHIBIT A – Scope of Services, Section 11. Tree Care.

Question 6: How will annual wood line cutback differ weekly wood line maintenance?

Response 6: Annual wood line cutbacks will be scheduled with the Owner. The weekly wood line maintenance covers a weekly inspection of the wood lines in the area to ensure there are no obstructions to allow clear access for mowing or blocking any access that may be around ponds.

Question 7: Will the previous bid tab and current contract be provided?
