About this file

This is a technical specifications document issued by Gainesville Regional Utilities (GRU) for the manufacture and supply of standardized electrical control panels for wastewater lift station construction and rehabilitation projects. GRU is seeking panel builders to supply five standardized control panels in various horsepower ratings and voltages, including 480V 20HP (200A) 3-Phase SSRV, 480V 47HP (200A) 3-Phase SSRV, and 208V or 240V panels ranging from 10HP to 47HP for rehabilitation projects. All equipment must be manufactured in full conformity with GRU lift station drawings and technical specifications, comply with applicable standards including the National Electrical Code, NEMA, UL, and NFPA 820, and include complete shop drawing submittals within two weeks of purchase order issuance. GRU plans to purchase at least five lift station panels per year and will establish a general services agreement with at least one panel builder. All panels must be delivered to the Kanapaha Water Reclamation Facility in Gainesville, Florida.

All electrical control panels must be designed and built in accordance with UL 508A standards with the UL Mark displayed on finished products. Panels require proper nameplates, labeling, and markings compliant with UL, NEMA, NEC, and OSHA requirements, with nameplate specifications including nominal system voltage, electrical phase, pump horsepower, pump full load amps, and starter type. Submittals must include detailed panel fabrication drawings, bills of materials with manufacturer information, wiring diagrams, and notification for approval of any deviations from standard specifications or third-party use requests. All panels must be suitably packaged, boxed, crated, and protected during shipment and storage to prevent exposure to elements and moisture damage. Wire and cable wiring shall be numbered at both ends with typewritten, heat-shrinkable wire markers, and hand-lettered or tape labels are not permitted.
