About this file
This document is an Amendment 01 to Solicitation BSA 468459, specifically addressing a Questions and Answers (Q&A) session for a technical procurement involving X-Ray mirrors. Two key questions were addressed: first, a potential vendor proposed increasing the mirror thickness from 9mm to 30mm, which was declined by the government, with the response indicating that previously purchased mirrors with the original 9mm thickness have performed well operationally. Second, the vendor requested additional technical drawings or specifications, to which the government responded that all necessary information is contained within the Statement of Work.
The amendment indicates that the remainder of the solicitation remains unchanged, and the Q&A session is now closed. No specific award dates, pricing terms, or federal agency details beyond the solicitation number are provided in this document. The focus appears to be on technical specifications for a specialized X-Ray mirror, with the government maintaining its original technical requirements despite the vendor's suggested modification.

Text version
Solicitation BSA 468459, Amendment 01.
The purpose of this amendment is to provide Questions and Answers (Q&A) and to close the Q&A session. The remainder of the solicitation remains unchanged.
Q1: Regarding this mirror, a 9mm thick mirror will bend too much during operation and cannot make an X-Ray mirror this thin. We are recommending a minimum thickness of at least 30mm. Would this be an acceptable alternative to quote?
A1: The dimensions of the mirror were calculated to allow it to be bent in a controlled way.
Previously purchased mirrors have the same dimensions and conform to the spec as described in the SOW and perform well in operation.
Q2: Wanted to see if you have any drawings or more specs available.
A2: There are no drawings or specifications. What is needed is provided in the Statement of Work.
