Required submittals are Requests for Information, shop drawings, product data, samples, design data, safety plans, manufacturer's instructions, field reports, and closeout documentation. All product and material substitutions must provide equivalent warranty protection and require contracting officer approval. The project period is 120 days from notice to proceed. All contractor and subcontractor personnel must comply with USDA Agricultural Research Service security requirements, obtain permission from the ARS Location Manager, wear contractor-issued identification badges at all times, and have restricted access to ARS property. A site visit is encouraged to investigate existing roof conditions before bidding, with no compensation provided for conditions discoverable during such visits. Original roof blueprints and photographs are available onsite by prior appointment, and a marked laydown area will be provided for contractor access.
