The certificate covers marine spark-ignition engines with the engine family SBSXM.9932HE, effective from January 7, 2025, to December 31, 2025. The certificate specifies emission standards of 358 g/kW-hr for CO and 18.2 g/kW-hr for HC + NOx, and is issued pursuant to Section 213 of the Clean Air Act and relevant CFR parts.

The certificate is conditional upon the manufacturer's compliance with averaging, banking, and trading provisions, and requires consent to inspections as described in 40 CFR Part 1068.20. It covers only new marine spark-ignition engines that conform to the design specifications in the documentation and are produced during the specified model year. The certificate does not cover marine nonroad engines sold or introduced into commerce in the U.S. prior to its effective date, and may be revoked or rendered void for various reasons outlined in the EPA regulations.
