About this file

This is a Workers Protection and Certification document issued by the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) applicable to the food supply contract for Wernersville State Hospital in Pennsylvania. The document establishes mandatory worker protection and certification requirements that suppliers must meet to provide Food 1 services during the contract period of October through December 26. All personnel engaged in food preparation, handling, and delivery must comply with specified certification standards and worker protection protocols as a condition of contract performance. The document outlines the compliance verification procedures and documentation requirements that suppliers must submit prior to commencing work.

The document emphasizes that adherence to worker protection and certification standards is a material requirement for contract award and continued performance under the food supply agreement. Suppliers must demonstrate that all workers meet applicable health, safety, and certification credentials before personnel are assigned to Wernersville State Hospital. Non-compliance with these requirements may result in contract termination or exclusion from future bidding opportunities. The certification requirements apply to all subcontractors and temporary workers utilized in fulfilling the contract obligations.
