About this file

This document is a bid proposal package for Athletic Apparel (Bid #2021-11) issued by the City of Newark's Division of Central Purchasing in New Jersey. The bid solicitation invites vendors to submit electronic proposals via the city's e-Procurement Portal (ProcureNow) by July 15, 2021, at 10:15 AM. The contract term is not to exceed twenty-four (24) consecutive months. Bidders are required to submit multiple documents including a Statement of Ownership Disclosure, Non-Collusion Affidavit, evidence of Affirmative Action Compliance, Business Registration Certificate, and various compliance certifications such as Sweatshop Compliance and Republic of Sudan Compliance.

The bid package includes several mandatory requirements and provisions, such as anti-discrimination regulations, Americans with Disabilities Act compliance, and record retention guidelines. Bidders must provide three references of recent contractual projects and disclose any criminal convictions. The city has waived both the Bid Bond and Performance Bond requirements for this procurement. Notably, the bid documents emphasize equal employment opportunity, prohibiting discrimination based on various protected characteristics and requiring contractors to maintain documentation related to the contract for five years after final payment. The city reserves the right to terminate contracts for non-compliance with any of the outlined provisions.
