About this file

This document is an Addendum 2 related to Invitation to Bid BL149-23 for the provision of Traffic Counting Services on an Annual Contract issued by the County. The bid deadline is being postponed from the original date to 2:50 PM on November 03, 2023. The addendum addresses a question regarding the insurance requirements outlined in the bid, noting that the County will not require underground, explosion, and collapse coverages for the services under this contract, and that the awarded vendor(s) should be able to meet all other applicable insurance requirements listed in the bid documents. Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum by inserting its number and date in the Bid Form, and failure to do so may result in disqualification.

The addendum indicates that the insurance requirements included in the Bid Invitation are standards established by the County to cover various procurements, and any specific requests to waive a requirement for this contract should be submitted to Purchasing for review. This addendum forms a part of the Contract Documents.

Addendum 2

BL149-23, Provision of Traffic Counting Services on an Annual Contract

***This bid deadline is being postponed until 2:50 PM on November 03, 2023.***

Questions:

Q1. For our insurance policy, the liability coverage requirements stated in your ITB are not part of our carrier's standard insurance contract. It may be difficult, expensive, or impossible to obtain insurance that meets your requirements. For example, it is not normal for us to obtain underground, explosion, and collapse coverage as that is an unusual ask for a traffic data company. Can we provide standard insurance coverage consistent with industry standards based on what we do (traffic counting and data services)?

A1. The insurance requirements included in the Bid Invitation are standards established by the

County to cover various procurements. Any specific requests to waive a requirement for this contract should be submitted to Purchasing for review. Underground, explosion, and collapse coverages will not be required for the services under this contract. The awarded vendor(s) should be able to meet all other applicable insurance requirements listed in the bid documents.

All bidders shall acknowledge receipt of this addendum by inserting its number and date in the

Bid Form. Failure to do so may subject the bidder to disqualification. This addendum forms a part of the Contract Documents.

Thank you.
