About this file

This is Addendum #2 for Bid BL144-24 issued by Gwinnett County Department of Financial Services Purchasing Division for the Purchase of Medical Supplies on an Annual Contract, dated November 25, 2024.

The addendum provides critical clarification regarding pricing format on the bid schedule. It specifies that the "Cost of Smallest Unit Available for Purchase" column must not exceed two decimal places to prevent ordering and invoicing issues. The "Cost of Lowest Unit of Measure (I.E. Cost Per Each)" column may exceed two decimal places if needed, with bid price comparisons rounded to the fourth decimal place. The addendum includes an example where a box of 100 units costing $9.75 would have a per-unit cost of $0.0975. All pricing must include shipping and delivery charges. The addendum also instructs bidders to disregard Q11 and A11 from Addendum #1. Bidders must sign and return this addendum with their proposal to be considered responsive.

Addendum #2

BL144-24

Purchase of Medical Supplies on an Annual Contract

Clarifications:

C1: On BL144-24’s Bid Schedule, the column “Cost of Smallest Unit Available for Purchase”

SHOULD NOT exceed more than two (2) decimal places. This will help prevent issues with ordering, invoicing, etc. All pricing MUST include shipping/delivery charges. The column “Cost of Lowest Unit of Measure (I.E. Cost Per Each)” MAY exceed two (2) decimal places if needed.

To compare bid prices, the lowest unit of measure formula is rounded to the fourth decimal place if it exceeds four (4) decimal places.

For example, if a box of 100 units is the “Smallest Unit Available for Purchase”, and costs

$9.75, the “Cost of Smallest Unit Available for Purchase” is $9.75. The “Cost of Lowest Unit of Measure (I.E. Cost Per Each)” would then be $0.0975/unit.

NOTE: THE “COST OF LOWEST UNIT OF MEASURE (I.E. COST PER EACH)” IS FOR

EVALUATION PURPOSES AND USED TO DETERMINE THE AWARDED SUPPLIER.

DISREGARD Q11 and A11 on BL144-24 Addendum #1.

Thank you, Casey Beauston Purchasing Associate II
