About this file

This is an addendum to a state and local contract opportunity issued by Georgia for the Combined Dams Ten (10) Outlet Works Rehabilitation project. The project encompasses major maintenance and rehabilitation efforts across 10 NRCS dams located in Georgia, involving in-kind replacements and repairs to extend the service life of multiple dam features. Specific maintenance work includes improvements to low-level drain gates, reservoir-level maintenance gates, localized concrete repairs, wildlife passage gates, and spillway pipe linings. Safety enhancements for operating personnel and the public are integrated into the project scope, including standing platform additions, railings, access ladders, caution signage, and painting. Engineering design and oversight services are provided by Stantec Consulting Services, which serves as Engineer of Record for nine sites (H-3, H-22, H-25, M-7, TM-1, N-1, Y-3, Y-16, and Inverness), while Freese and Nichols serves as Engineer of Record for the H-21 site.

The addendum referenced as BL087-23 ADD5 represents a modification or clarification to the original combined dams project specifications. No additional details regarding pricing terms, set-asides, award dates, contract duration, or funding sources are provided in this addendum document excerpt.

Addendum 5 BL087-23, Combined Dams Ten (10) Outlet Works Rehabilitation

I. Questions:

Q1. Please provide the distances from the dams to the outflow pipe for the discharge distances and the water sources that are flowing into these lakes. Specially creeks to help know what is feeding these lakes to accommodate for how much water needs to be removed per day.

A1. The Contractor would select the pipe (or siphon alignment) for lowering the Lakes and would include this for submission as part of their Water Control Plan for review. Each drawing set includes topographic data to support their selection. The stream inflow to each lake is summarized in the table below.

All bidders shall acknowledge receipt of this addendum by inserting its number and date in the

Bid Form. Failure to do so may subject bidder to disqualification. This addendum forms a part of the Contract Documents.

Thank you.
