About this file
This document is Addendum #1 for Bid BL054-25 issued by the Gwinnett County Department of Financial Services Purchasing Division on April 24, 2025, for Swimming Pool Maintenance and Repair at Various Parks Locations on an Annual Contract. The addendum addresses three specific questions from potential bidders regarding site visits, maintenance expectations, and facility cleaning responsibilities. Notably, no site visits will be scheduled, with bidders directed to review Appendix A - Facilities for equipment details. The County clarified that daily cleaning and general maintenance will be handled by County staff, and the contract's cleaning section is specifically for post-repair cleanup. The addendum emphasizes that bathrooms and other facilities are not included in the contract's scope of work.
The document requires bidders to acknowledge the addendum on page 9 of the bid documents and return it with their bid, with a warning that failure to do so may result in the bid being deemed non-responsive. The addendum is signed by Jake Scarpone, Purchasing Associate II, and maintains the professional formatting of Gwinnett County's official documentation, including the county's colorful logo and contact information. The document reinforces the procedural requirements for bidder participation and provides critical clarification on the contract's operational expectations.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS:
Q1. Are physical visits from myself and our owner permissible?

Q2. As for the maintenance cleanings, are you looking for daily cleanings for each property with vacuuming, skimming and brushing included or are you only looking for maintenance of the chemical feeding systems?
A2. Daily cleaning and general maintenance for equipment shall be handled by County staff. The Cleaning section of the bid is for cleanup after repairs have been performed.
Q3. Are you requesting any facilities i.e. bathrooms to be cleaned by our team?
A3. No, bathrooms and other facilities are not included in the scope of work for this contract.
This addendum should be acknowledged in the space provided on page 9 of the bid documents and returned with your bid. Failure to do so may result in your bid being deemed non-responsive.
