About this file
This Bid Scope Materials List document pertains to a residential rehabilitation project in Escambia County, Florida, managed by the Northeast Florida Economic Development (NED) organization for the property located at 1207 W Cross Street. The scope encompasses comprehensive kitchen, bathroom, and general home improvements including specific brand and model appliances such as a GE range, Whirlpool refrigerator, and Delta faucets; bathroom fixtures including an American Standard toilet and tub with Sterling surround; flooring materials specified as Shaw LVP and carpet; HVAC components; roofing by CertainTeed; aluminum guttering; windows; and lighting fixtures from Hampton Bay and Commercial Electric. The project requires licensed, inscontractors in good standing with Escambia County to submit bids through OPENGOV; new contractors must provide a letter of insurability. Emergency line-item awards are limited to roofing and septic/sewer services. Interested parties should contact Scott Sanchez at NED for questions regarding the project scope and requirements.
The scope document includes detailed specifications for materials and installation standards, requiring contractors to use braided supply lines for plumbing fixtures, ensure proper finishing for trim and drywall work, and install square-edged laminate countertops with four-inch backsplashes. All cabinetry must be constructed from three-quarter-inch plywood or better with solid hardwood fronts and frames, excluding particle board. All electrical appliances must be EnergyStar approved with LED bulbs. The document specifies that contractors are obligated to use like, similar, or equal-valued products when exact specifications are unavailable. Contractors bear responsibility for moving furniture while homeowners retain responsibility for contents. All surfaces, furniture, and homeowner property must be protected from damage throughout the project. No pricing information, contract term dates, or funding sources are specified in this materials list document.
