About this file
This document contains bid questions and answers related to a state and local contract opportunity for the procurement of two (2) Elbeco embroidery machines for the Illinois Department of Corrections (DOC) - Danville ICI. The procurement is a Brand-Name only bid, which indicates that the agency is seeking a specific brand and model of embroidery machine. Based on the questions and answers, the agency is adding the two new machines to an existing network of machines, so there is no need for additional software. The machines will be added to the existing network.
The bid questions indicate that an "Add-on" head may be sufficient, rather than requiring two separate machines. Pricing and other terms are not provided in the document, but the agency is seeking a solution that can integrate with their existing network infrastructure.

Text version
Bid Questions B-39514 Q: We are working on this bid and need to know if you are adding two new machines to an existing network of machines. If this is the case, the bid price will be significantly lower because you will not need software and a few other things.
A: We are adding two machines to an existing network of machines. There is no need for software.
Q: I would like to know whether the machine that you are looking for is EMT16X 2 add-on-Heads or 2 separate EMT16X machines prod. Pkgs.
A: We are adding two machines to an existing network. We do not need two separate machines if an “Add-on” head will work with our network, which we believe to be the case.
