About this file
This is a Bid Amendment document issued by the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) for Sheridan Correctional Center in response to vendor questions regarding Bid #26-426DOC-SHERI-B-52254, a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) for HVAC system and components procurement. The amendment clarifies that this is not a brand name-specific procurement, allowing vendors to propose equipment from multiple manufacturers without model number or part number restrictions. The procurement is limited to supply and delivery of equipment and materials only, with no installation or on-site services included. IDOC indicated that existing unit information is not available, as relevant components are being replaced and compatibility concerns are not a factor in the evaluation.
The amendment does not contain detailed pricing terms, set-asides, award dates, contract term information, or funding sources. No specific response deadlines, due dates, site visit schedules, or bidder conferences are referenced in this vendor question response document. This amendment serves solely to clarify procurement parameters and requirements for interested bidders.

Below are the responses to the questions that IDOC has received regarding the above BOA:
1. Vendor: Are there specific manufacturer names, model numbers, or part numbers required for the requested HVAC equipment and components?
Answer: This is not a brand name-specific procurement.
2. Vendor: Is this requirement for supply/delivery only, or does it also include installation or other on-site services?
Answer: As indicated by the BOA, this is a procurement for equipment/materials. This is not a service contract.
3. Vendor: Could you please provide the existing unit information.
Answer: We do not have this information. Relevant components are being replaced so compatibility should not be a concern.
