About this file
This bid advertisement document involves two distinct government procurement opportunities in Georgia: the City of Waycross street repair and resurfacing project and the Worth County Board of Education fuel supply contract. The Waycross project solicits sealed bids for street repair and resurfacing work on five streets (Beville Street, Crawford Street N., Hanover Drive, Jane Street, and Richmond Avenue), with bids due October 27, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Waycross City Hall. The scope includes mobilization, asphalt grinding and resurfacing, concrete curb and gutter work, sidewalks with ADA-compliant curb ramps, drainage improvements, traffic control, and pavement markings. The Worth County Board of Education seeks bids for Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel Fuel (80,000 gallons estimated annual consumption) and Premium Conventional 93 Octane Gasoline (8,000 gallons estimated annual consumption), with delivery in single loads of 7,500 and 8,500 gallons respectively, with bids due November 28, 2022 at 3:00 PM and award scheduled for December 8, 2022. The fuel contract term runs January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023.
Bid pricing for the Waycross street project requires contractors to obtain certification through Coastal Engineering Consultants, with contract documents available for a non-refundable fee of $300 for printed copies or $50 for electronic copies via Drop Box. For the Worth County fuel bid, pricing must be net of all delivery costs to the Worth County Board of Education Bus Shop in Sylvester, Georgia and exclusive of federal and state taxes eliminated for Georgia school boards. The Worth County solicitation requires submission of W-9 forms, E-Verify documentation, and Certificates of Liability with sealed bids marked "Fuel Bids." Both agencies reserve the right to reject any or all bids, with the Waycross project allowing bid withdrawal for 60 days after the closing time. No bids received after the specified deadline will be considered. Contact for the Waycross project is Mamie Jackson, Purchasing Manager; contact for Worth County is Rusty Parten at 229-776-8612 or rparten@worthschools.net.
