About this file

This document is an Addendum #1 for Bid 4083AH issued by Marion County Public Schools (MCPS) in Ocala, Florida, related to a term contract for slip-resistant shoes for Food & Nutrition Services employees. The addendum, dated August 8, 2024, updates several key aspects of the original bid documents, including changing statute year references from 2023 to 2024, adding a new requirement for nongovernmental entities to provide a Human Trafficking Affidavit, and modifying background screening and E-Verify requirements for contractors.

The addendum introduces significant compliance updates, notably requiring contractors to complete a Human Trafficking Affidavit certifying they do not use coercion for labor or services, and mandating use of the U.S. Homeland Security's E-Verify system to verify employment eligibility. The School Board will terminate the agreement if a vendor is placed on the State of Florida Forced Labor Vendor list. The contract remains an 8-month and 21-day term contract for procuring slip-resistant shoes, with contractors required to have a web-based online ordering system and provide on-site training, worker's compensation warranty, and a 60-day exchange policy for the shoes.
