About this file
This document is Addenda #1 for Putnam County's Request for Proposal (RFP) 25-15 for Misdemeanor Probation Supervision Services, issued on April 15, 2025. The addendum provides updated procurement timeline information, moving the Initial Evaluation Meeting to Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 10:00 am, and includes a comprehensive schedule of key dates. Critical dates include the RFP issuance on March 31, 2025, a mandatory pre-proposal meeting on April 7, 2025, proposal submission deadline of April 29, 2025 at 2:00 pm, and a final contract award anticipated for June 10, 2025, by the Putnam County Board of County Commissioners.
The addendum also addresses several bidder questions, revealing important operational details about the probation services transition. Current probationer files are exclusively in hard copy format, and a transition plan is forthcoming. The new service provider can begin immediately upon county commission approval, potentially without the typical 30-day notice period. The new provider will need to contact the current location's landlord to inquire about office space availability. The procurement is structured so that the successful contractor will be funded through monthly supervision fees paid by probationers, currently set at $50 per individual, with the expectation of managing an average active caseload of approximately 250 probationers.
