About this file
This document is a clarification response issued by Clackamas County, Oregon for BID 2026-67 regarding landscaping improvements at the Clackamas County Stabilization Center. The bid solicitation requires sealed proposals for comprehensive landscaping improvements, with bids due October 7, 2026 at 2:00 PM Pacific Time and bid opening scheduled for 2:05 PM the same day via Zoom. The project encompasses all labor, materials, transportation, equipment, and services necessary for landscape improvements as specified in contract documents and drawings. This clarification response addresses two key questions from prospective bidders regarding project specifications. The County confirmed that existing salvaged concrete pavers will be reused and supplemented with new pavers as needed to meet project quantities. For the steel and wood hybrid fence construction, detailed specifications include Elite Western Red Cedar 1x4 V-joint paneling installed vertically on the exterior with hot-dipped galvanized post materials and hardware. Ground clearance ranges from 1" to 3" maximum from the top of soil, with 36" post embedment and 1-foot typical concrete footings, increasing to 1-foot 2-inch diameter at corner and gate posts. Maximum span between posts is 10 feet, and installation includes a single-leafed gate with crowned footing. Bid security equal to ten percent of the total bid amount must accompany all proposals. The successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds within twenty calendar days of award and comply with prevailing wage requirements, Oregon Construction Contractors Board registration, and Good Faith Effort outreach to at least three Historically Underrepresented Business subcontractors for each division of work.
