About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract solicitation BD3-0082 regarding IT Hardware Equipment and Cisco Parts procurement.

The document addresses three clarifications regarding product specifications and vendor authorization requirements. First, it confirms that the correct Extreme Networks part number is X435-24T-4S, resolving a discrepancy between the description and part-number column in the solicitation schedule. Second, it clarifies that Cisco GLC-SX-MMD Compatible TAA Compliant items (Part Number GLC-SX-MMD-AO) require either an authorized Cisco distributor/reseller or acceptable authentication documentation. Third, it establishes that offerors need not hold direct Cisco authorized-reseller status themselves; instead, they may source required new Cisco equipment through an authorized Cisco distributor/reseller provided they submit the required authentication documentation. These clarifications emphasize the solicitation's requirement for exact parts without deviations or alternatives, while providing flexibility in the sourcing methodology for Cisco products.
