About this file
This is a project map document prepared by Collier County, Florida, through its Pelican Bay Services Division for the Pelican Bay Bay Colony Dune Plantings project, a coastal dune stabilization initiative. The project encompasses approximately 225,000 square feet of dune planting area across approximately 4,500 linear feet of coastal dune with a planted width of approximately 50 feet. The map identifies planting zones across reference points R-30 through R-32.5, R-35 through R-36, and R-40 through R-41, delineating Zone I (foredune) and Zone II (dune crest) planting areas. Plant material shall be installed at 24-inch on-center spacing in rows spaced 24 inches apart. The contractor is responsible for initial watering of all plant material and supplementation with crystallized hydrogel. The landward limit of vegetation plantings may require site-specific field adjustments to accommodate existing topography, existing dune vegetation, and structures such as boardwalks and foot paths. The map and graphics depicted are approximate and not to scale.
Questions regarding the solicitation must be submitted by March 10, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., with bid responses due March 13, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. via the Collier County online procurement portal. Award will be made to the responsive vendor with the lowest quote, with pricing remaining firm from bid opening through September 30th and submitted on a line-item basis for each plant species, posts, rope, and signage. The procurement documents do not specify an estimated award value or budgetary range. No set-aside designations or restrictions specific to disadvantaged enterprises are identified. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the solicitation documents. Payment will be made in accordance with Florida's Local Government Prompt Payment Act upon receipt of proper invoices submitted to Collier County's Accounts Payable department, with invoices due within six months of service completion.
