About this file
This document is a Build America, Buy America (BABA) Certification Form issued by the City of Fort Myers Procurement Services for the Fleishman Park Improvements project. The form requires contractors to certify compliance with federal regulations mandating the use of iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials produced in the United States, as stipulated by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act passed on November 15, 2021. Contractors must confirm their understanding and commitment to identifying domestic sources of BABA-covered products, providing verification documentation, and submitting waiver documentation when necessary.
The certification form emphasizes that compliance with BABA provisions applies to the entire project, including subcontracted portions. Contractors must acknowledge that false statements on the certification may result in rejection or termination of the award or contract. The form provides a space for contractors to sign, print their name and title, provide contact information, and specify their company details. The document directs respondents to visit the White House website for additional information about BABA requirements and authorization, highlighting the federal government's focus on promoting domestic manufacturing and construction materials.
