About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details the replacement of two existing natural gas-fired cast iron steam boilers at U.S. Coast Guard Base in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. The project requires a contractor to provide all necessary labor, supervision, equipment, and materials to disconnect and remove the current boilers, and fully install and make operational two new steam boilers with natural gas burners. The technical requirements specify installing two cast iron wet base steam boilers with new natural gas burners, pressure switches, control systems, and connecting to existing flue exhaust stacks, building piping, and utilities.
Key project specifications include: completing work within 30 calendar days after submittals are accepted, performing work during normal base hours (7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday), and adhering to North Carolina Mechanical & Boiler Codes. The existing boilers are Peerless Boiler Company models with 347,000 BTU/HR gross capacity, currently powered by Power Flame X4 Micro Burners. The contractor must provide all necessary piping, fittings, valves, and ensure full system functionality, including steam, condensate, and make-up water connections. The project requires original equipment manufacturer testing, operational manuals, and includes a one-year warranty on supplied equipment and labor.
