About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for installing an accessible soundscape system at the AME Church in Nicodemus National Historic Site, Kansas. The project involves designing and installing a multiple-channel audio system with 4-6 selectable audio recordings, featuring a push-button control panel, inconspicuous speakers, and surface-mounted conduit, all while preserving the historical integrity of the building. The system must comply with the Architectural Barrier Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, and International Building Codes.
Key project details include a 190-calendar day performance period, on-site work during normal business hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday), and specific restrictions such as no work during the last week of July and first week of August. The contractor will be responsible for providing all equipment, installation materials, and submitting comprehensive documentation including shop drawings, wiring diagrams, and a closeout package. The National Park Service will provide the audio recordings, and the system must be designed for ease of use and minimal maintenance, with a one-year equipment and installation guarantee.
