About this file
This statement of structural tests and special inspections outlines the testing and inspection requirements for three housing foundation replacement projects at Herbert Hoover National Historic Site. Key inspections and tests include welding inspections for steel construction, bolting inspections, concrete testing and inspections, soil compaction testing, deep foundation element inspections, and special inspections for seismic, wind, fire protection, and other building systems. Inspectors must be qualified in the appropriate disciplines, such as structural engineering, welding, concrete, soils, and special inspections. The construction contractor must address all deficiencies found and provide inspection reports to the contracting officer.
