The document defines oversize loads as those wider than 8'6" or longer than 75'. It provides specific requirements for different size ranges, such as the need for front and rear escort vehicles, road closures, and maximum speeds. There are also restrictions on the transportation of oversize and overweight loads during peak visitor season from Memorial Day to mid-September, which must be conducted at night. Separate guidelines are provided for the hauling of loose aggregate material, with allowable entry and exit times. This document serves as guidance for federal contractors and permittees seeking to transport equipment and materials through Yellowstone National Park.
