Wage Determination Summary

This document is a Register of Wage Determinations under the Service Contract Act issued by the U.S. Department of Labor Employment Standards Administration. The wage determination (No. 1976-1351, Revision 80, effective 8/13/2026) applies to employees on service contracts for forestry, land management, cleaning of public use areas, and timber inventory services in Colorado, covering 64 counties including Denver, Boulder, Adams, Arapahoe, El Paso, Larimer, Mesa, Montrose, and others.

The determination establishes prevailing wage rates for 14 occupational classifications ranging from $14.02 to $26.38 per hour, with positions including Brush/Precommercial Thinner ($17.14), Forestry Equipment Operator ($24.82), Forestry Truck Driver ($26.38), General Forestry Laborer ($18.29), and Tree Climber ($19.04). All occupations receive fringe benefits including health and welfare ($5.92 per hour up to 40 hours weekly), paid vacation (2-4 weeks depending on tenure), and eleven paid holidays annually. Uniform costs are reimbursable at $3.35 per week or $0.67 daily for employees whose work requires uniforms. Executive Orders 13706 and 13658 apply to applicable contracts, requiring paid sick leave provisions and minimum wage rates. The Service Contract Act Directory of Occupations governs job duty classifications, and contractors may request conformance for unlisted classifications using Standard Form 1444, with decisions made jointly by the Department of Labor and contracting officer within 30 days of request.
