About this file
This document is a salient characteristics specification for Special Order S25012 detailing requirements for 7 In-Situ Spectrophotometers and associated accessories for the U.S. Geological Survey.
The specification calls for submersible spectrophotometers capable of measuring water quality parameters in river applications, featuring stainless steel or titanium waterproof housing, 220-700nm light attenuation range, 5mm optical pathlength, and multiple communication protocols including SDI-12 and RS-485. Each unit requires 8GB storage, 10Hz measurement capability, and factory calibration for measuring TOC, DOC, TSS, turbidity, and nitrate in natural waters. The package includes operating system licenses, power supply and data communication modules with IP68 protection, and submersible automatic wiper brushes. The power modules must be no larger than 80x175x57mm and provide 12 VDC power, while the wiper brushes must be no larger than 182x46x36.5mm with 7.5m minimum cable length. This solicitation is a total small business set-aside under NAICS 334513, with quotes due February 10, 2025, and anticipated award date of February 15, 2025.
