About this file
This document is a Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition (JOFOC) for the South Fork Wind Farm (SFWF) Structural Health Monitoring Project. The Department of the Interior Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement intends to sole source this requirement. The JOFOC states that the successful contractor must have extensive experience and specialized technical capabilities related to structural health monitoring of offshore wind turbines. The incumbent contractor, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, is the only source capable of meeting the government's requirements. No other known sources can provide the necessary products and services. This is an urgent requirement to support the ongoing operation and maintenance of the SFWF. The period of performance is one year, with options to extend up to five years. The estimated value of the contract is $5 million annually.
