TITLE OF PROJECT: Pest Control Management Service

PROPOSED SOLICITATION DATE: Estimated on/around November 30th, 2022.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

NAICS Code: 561710, Exterminating and Pest Control Services. Size standard of $12 million.

The purpose of this service is to provide pest management service for Big Bend National Park. Service is defined as General Pest Control at Park Residences, Administrative Bldgs., and Park Manholes for Ants, Roaches, Centipedes, Earwigs, Millipedes, Pill Bugs, Silverfish, Scorpions, Spiders, Conenose Bugs. Service also is to include Termite bait station placement and monitoring at specified locations throughout the Park. There are approximately 170 Residences/Buildings and 250 Manholes listed on this project. Please see Attached DRAFT Scope of Work and map of service locations.

Type of Procurement: It is anticipated that a Firm Fixed Price contract will be awarded using FAR part 13.5, Simplified Acquisition Procedures for commercial services.

Estimated Period of Performance: One base year w/ FOUR option periods, estimated 1 January 9th, 2023 – January 8th, 2028.

GENERAL:

The National Park Service (NPS), Big Bend National Park, is planning a solicitation of bids from qualified businesses having the capability to perform the work described above. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the System for Award Management website at www.sam.gov under Contract Opportunities. Bid documents will be available for download in Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF; Specifications will be available in Adobe PDF format; and pertinent images will be available in PDF format. Please Note: Paper copies of the solicitation will not be made available.

This pre-solicitation announcement is not a solicitation document but notice of a proposed contract action in the form of an upcoming solicitation. Specific instructions on submitting your quote will be contained in the solicitation documents to be issued on or after the date listed above.

All responsible sources may submit a “Notification of Interest” to the Point of Contact listed above and you will be notified upon the official posting of the Solicitation. Questions regarding the opportunity are welcome.
