Big Bend National Park (BIBE) Pest Control Service General Pest and Termite Control Scope of Work
Notice: Reference attached Integrated Pest Management Project Locations for specific service type per location. Attachment also lists address and GPS coordinates to assist in providing site aerial view via web-based satellite imaging.
GENERAL PEST CONTROL
Service the Residence and Structure areas listed on a “QUARTERLY” pest management schedule.
Pests covered in this service are Ants – (fire, carpenter, harvester), Roaches – (American, German, Oriental), centipedes, earwigs, millipedes, pill bugs, silverfish, scorpions, spiders, conenose bugs.
Residence and Structure Services to include treatment to the immediate exterior of structures by applying approved materials to areas around perimeters covering up to 5 feet from all assigned buildings. Interior treatments will be performed in accordance with label directions of approved materials. Treatments will consist of crack and crevice applications, around plumbing areas, baseboards, beneath and behind appliances, doorways and to accessible attic spaces. Suggested pesticide for this treatment is:
PT CY-KICK Pressurized Insecticide (499-470 or 00049900470) Service the Manhole Locations on a “MONTHLY” pest management schedule for sewage/manhole. Sewage/Manhole Service to include treatment with one of the following suggested pesticides in accordance with manufacturer instructions:
Maxforce Complete Granular Bai (432-1255 or 00043201255) Magnetic Roach Bait - Boric Acid @ 33.3% - EPA Registration #: 54452-2 Niban Granular Bait - Boric Acid @ 5% - EPA Registration #: 64405-2 Should problems with covered pests occur between regularly scheduled services that are result of contractor’s negligent service additional service will be performed at NO CHARGE to the Government. Requests for this type of service shall come from NPS Contracting Officer/Specialist and/or Contraction Officer Representative (COR)
TERMITE CONTROL
At all sites, install the “Always Active” Sentricon bait system around the assigned structures. The installation of each of the bait stations will be in accordance with Dow Agro Sciences label instructions. There are currently no bait stations at listed sites; all shall require installations of new stations.
Perform, at minimum, an annual renewal inspection of the Sentricon bait stations and the immediate area surrounding the structures. Annual inspection date will be assigned for each structure with supported documentation of each site visit to be provided to Park. If visible termite activity is noted either at the time of the inspection or in between annual visits, appropriate measures to eliminate the activity shall be taken. Suggested Pesticide for this treatment is:

PROCEDURES
Any special problems such as sanitation and/or pest exclusion needs, etc. will be brought to management’s attention both initially and ongoing.
Certified Technicians will make routine inspections and perform service inside and outside the structures as needed to maintain pest curtailment.
SDS and product labels need to be provided.
Anticipated volumes and percentages of active ingredients of materials to be used need to be provided.
Approximate measurements of structures to be treated. (see attached) Installations of the Sentricon termite bait system around specified structures.
Schedule for service needs to be communicated with the park contracting officer representative to ensure that park staff is available to grant access to buildings, gates and residences as needed.
Vendor will provide tools, equipment, and labor necessary to properly open manhole covers for treatment of pest control product(s) and properly close manhole covers after treatment.
DURATION: Deliverables and Timetable & Period of Performance This Contract is for one Base Year with 4 option years starting within approximately 30 days After Receipt Of award (ARO) All Days are approximate and based on ARO.

An annual report shall be prepared and submitted to the contracting officer’s representative by December 20th of each year that identifies treatment dates, approximate time spent per site, number of applicators, the quantity of herbicide used per site, effectiveness of treatment, what chemicals were used, the EPA registration number, quantities used, and the total square foot of areas treated and all other requirements specified in the Data Collection section of this SOW application method. Recommendations for further treatments may be prepared by the NPS COR based upon site inspections and information obtained from these reports.
