About this file

This is a Request for Quote (RFQ) for Mortuary Transportation Services issued by the U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) in Europe. The solicitation seeks a Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) to provide transportation and handling of human remains primarily in Germany, with potential limited services in Europe and Africa. The contract is for a one-year period from September 1, 2025 to August 31, 2026, with services including handling of human remains during and after normal business hours, transportation of remains (up to 45,000 kilometers), temporary casket care, document delivery, body pouches, waiting time, and third-party charges for body storage and administrative fees.

The RFQ requires offerors to demonstrate specific capabilities, including English and German language proficiency, at least three years of experience in human remains transportation, a current German Funeral Director License, ability to provide 24/365 professional funeral transportation services, and appropriate equipment for remains recovery. The solicitation will evaluate offers based on technical approach (including language skills, experience, licensing, standards, and equipment), past performance, and pricing. The contract has a Small Business set-aside specifically for Women-Owned Small Businesses, with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 812210 and a size standard to be determined. Quotations are due by 12:00 PM on July 31, 2025, with the contract to be awarded to the most advantageous offer considering technical capability, past performance, and price.
