About this file
This is a Request for Quote issued by the State of Illinois Department of Human Services for the Alton Mental Health Center, solicitation number 27-444DHS-MENTH-B-53431, for electrical outlet installation services in the Willow building. The project requires the installation of 41 new electrical outlets across multiple areas: 34 outlets on the first floor in the south-east and south-west areas (dental, barber shop, intake, and rehab/activities rooms) and 7 outlets on the second floor in Suite 280 (laundry suite). The vendor must supply materials and labor to install conduit, wire mold, 12-gauge wiring with ground, hospital-grade 20-amp outlets, and white outlet covers. The work includes running conduit from existing electrical panels (with the longest horizontal run estimated at 90 feet), installing new breakers as needed, labeling outlets on the electrical panel directory, and verifying correct wiring, voltage, and grounding at each outlet. All work must comply with NFPA 70 and State and Federal Code standards. No retention testing is required as the outlets are not located in patient care rooms.
The vendor has flexibility in determining power sources and may propose installing an electrical sub-panel if existing power sources prove labor-intensive to access. Available power sources include panels in the first-floor electrical room 130 and the basement HVAC mechanical room, with varying numbers of spare breakers and blank spaces. The vendor is responsible for supplying and installing all materials and labor but is not responsible for existing breaker operation. The electrical panels and breakers were installed in 2025. No specific pricing terms, set-asides, response dates, or contract duration are detailed in this Request for Quote document.
