About this file

This document is an Amendment #1 Questions and Answers file issued by the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice (IDJJ) for Bid 26-425DJJ-SCHDI-B-51647 regarding the procurement of student tables at IYC Lincoln School District. The IDJJ seeks 14 units of RYNO activity/dining tables, each weighing 309 pounds, to be delivered FOB destination. A key modification outlined in this amendment addresses the scope of assembly and installation services, with the IDJJ clarifying vendor responsibilities regarding delivery and setup at the facility.

The amendment specifically addresses two vendor inquiries regarding service delivery and product specifications. In response to the first question regarding White Glove assembly service versus basic delivery to the loading dock, the IDJJ determined that assembly and installation of the tables would be removed from the contract requirements, eliminating associated additional costs. The second inquiry requests a specification sheet or photograph of existing tables, with the IDJJ providing image documentation as reference material for bidders. This amendment represents a clarification and modification of the original bid terms to streamline delivery expectations and reduce costs.

Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice Bid 26-425DJJ-SCHDI-B-51647 – IDJJ School District Student Tables at IYC Lincoln Amendment #1 – Vendor Questions and Answers

1.) I am confirming if you would like White Glove service to bring the tables inside of the center and assemble the tabletops to the base with a few screws? Or, will you accept the delivery to your loading dock and have the chief engineer attach the table tops to the base with a few screws? Assembly is quite minimal. I am inquiring about your flexibility as White Glove service will be incur additional costs that are not nominal. Answer: IDJJ decided to remove the assembly and installation of the tables.

2.) I kindly request a specification sheet or a photograph of the existing table.

Answer: Please see below.
