The contract allows the Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT) to engineer, furnish, and install new uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, generators, and related equipment, as well as provide power installation, maintenance, emergency maintenance, and preventative maintenance at locations statewide. The original emergency contract term was from September 10, 2022, to December 8, 2022, with an estimated value of $3,500,000. The extension will be from June 7, 2023, to December 3, 2023, at an actual cost of $0. This extension does not change the scope of work. The document notes that there have been numerous emergency contracts for this matter and encourages the agency to make soliciting this through a competitive procurement a priority.
The contract has a 4% Business Enterprise Program (BEP) participation goal. This is the second extension of the emergency contract, with the first extension covering the period from December 9, 2022, to June 6, 2023.
