About this file
This document is an amendment to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) issued by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (Illinois EPA) for Architectural and Engineering services to investigate and oversee the cleanup of the Republic Creosote Site. The initial objectives of the project are to review risk assessment and feasibility study documents, and prepare a Proposed Plan and Record of Decision (ROD). The vendor will also be required to provide field oversight of the remedy specified in the ROD, including the potential need for site reconnaissance to gather additional data.
The RFQ is being issued under the Architectural, Engineering and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act, and the services will be procured to meet federal and state mandates for investigating and overseeing the cleanup of hazardous substances at the contaminated Republic Creosote Site, located in Massac County, Illinois.

Amendment 1
23-532EPA-LAND5-B-31058
QBS - Republic Creosote Site Questions & Answers
1. The initial objectives of this project are to review risk assessment and feasibility study documents, and prepare a Proposed Plan and ROD; however, please provide clarification on the remainder of the potential scope, in particular the field oversight of a corrective action contractor (section D.2.3.11). Will this be oversight of the remedy in the ROD or is there other known work to be performed?
Agency response: The Illinois EPA does require the vendor to preform field oversight of the remedy in the ROD. The vendor will need to be able to perform site reconnaissance, if needed, to gather further data.
