Text version

Question: “I see that there is a bypass section but it doesn’t list if an external wall-mounted one was required (highly recommended). It only states “automatic on overload or UPS failure” and they all will do that. Each UPS typically comes with an internal bypass (static bypass) but if there should ever be a need to replace batteries, internal components, etc the UPS will need to be shut down completely if there is only a “static bypass” being used which in turn will keep your loads off until the system can be placed back online. IF you had an external bypass, the power can be wrapped around the UPS and you business can continue while the work is being done and then put back online when it is complete without any interruption in work flow.”

Answer: We currently already have maintenance bypass cabinets at each of the GEMS buildings and plan on re-using those.
