About this file
This document is an amendment to the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency's invitation for bids (IFB) for the purchase of gas chromatographs. The amendment clarifies that each of the four gas chromatograph systems requested must have its own data station (computer). The IFB is for the procurement of three gas chromatographs with autosamplers and data stations for pesticide and PCB analysis, and one gas chromatograph with autosampler and data station for organophosphate analysis.
The amendment requires vendors to sign and return the acknowledgment with their bids, as the questions and answers provided may materially affect the bid. The amendment revises Section 1.2.2 of the IFB to specify that each gas chromatograph must have two injectors, two capillary columns, and two electron capture detectors, with the autosampler capable of simultaneous injections and the dual-injector, dual-column, and dual-detector setup controlled by one data system per gas chromatograph.
