About this file

This document contains responses from the Illinois Department of Corrections to vendor questions regarding a solicitation for plastic refillable bottles for laundry detergent for individuals in custody.

The solicitation requests 195,000 clear, shatter-proof plastic bottles with a 20/410 cap size and 4-ounce capacity. Initial orders will be for a minimum of 28,000 bottles 10 days after contract award, with additional orders placed as needed. The contract will be for five years with renewal options. The solicitation does not require vendors to be Businesses Enterprise Program (BEP) certified, but they must utilize a certified BEP vendor to meet the established participation goal. Multiple delivery locations are specified throughout Illinois, with special instructions for each site regarding delivery scheduling, security procedures, and unloading requirements.
