About this file

This document contains questions and responses regarding an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the Illinois Department of Central Management Services for Service Station Fuel Pump Repair Services, contract #18-416CMS-BOSS4-B-1019. The IFB requests a professional company to provide fuel pump repairs, inspections, and maintenance for state service stations. The document addresses specific line item questions related to parts pricing, hourly rates for construction projects, and a placeholder for contract renewal options. The state has the option to renew the contract for up to two additional years.

Regarding pricing, the state has indicated that bidders do not need to provide amounts for certain line items, as those will be addressed through future invoicing and scoping of special projects. The renewal option is included as a placeholder, with the renewal rate to be the same as the initial contract term.

Questions and Responses

1. What are you looking for on items 4.00, 10.00 and 11.00 as far as parts pricing?

RESPONSE: Bidders do not have to enter an amount in these lines. For future invoicing, these commodities must have a line item allotted for parts.

2. On item #6.00 are you looking for an hourly rate for construction projects?

RESPONSE: Bidders do not have to enter an amount in this line. Special projects will require a detailed Scope of Work at the time of need. A line item dedicated to these special projects is necessary for future requisitioning.

3. What are you referring to in item #5.00 when you say placeholder for renewal?

RESPONSE: A line is dedicated due to the IFB document indicating that the State has the option to renewal for up to two years. No amount is required to be entered as the renewal is at the same rate as the initial term.
