The contract requires the contractor to provide a five-year performance assurance program (one base year plus four option years) for eight Haas CNC machines and two trunnion rotary table attachments located in Hangar 74. Services include major manufacturer-recommended maintenance checks on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, coolant, spindle, and way lube systems; yearly ball bar calibration using Renishaw technology to diagnose positioning errors including servo mismatch, stick-slip errors, backlash, repeatability, scale mismatch, and machine geometry; reactive (unscheduled) service and spare parts; and comprehensive calibration testing including drawbar force tests and geometry inspections. The contractor must be a Haas-certified, factory-trained technician authorized by the original equipment manufacturer. Performance assurance services shall be delivered over six daily visits within a 90-calendar-day period with no more than two machines down for a single eight-hour period. Reactive service must include phone-based technical troubleshooting within three days (95% compliance threshold) and on-site service calls scheduled within one week when travel is required (95% compliance threshold). Service reports and ball bar test results must be delivered to the government customer representative within one business day of machine servicing, with a performance threshold allowing no more than two late submissions per year. Work shall be performed Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, excluding federal holidays, at the specified location with full responsibility for quality control, security compliance, and adherence to manufacturer specifications and applicable regulations.

The program will consist of all the major maintenance checks that are recommended by the machine manufacturer. Comprehensive checks will be made by factory-trained technicians on the Mechanical, Electrical, Air, Coolant, Spindle and Way Lube systems. Coupled with the standard checks is included yearly ball bar calibration. Renishaw ball bar service is performed for preventive and comprehensive diagnostic report that also gives an overall assessment of machine performance (circularity). In addition, this test provides an automatic diagnosis of up to six (6) specific machine positioning errors including servo mismatch, stick-slip errors, backlash, repeatability, scale mismatch and machine geometry. Each error is ranked according to its significance to overall machine performance alongside the error value.
1.3 Objectives: Provide five years (1 base year and 4 option years) of performance assurance, comprehensive calibration analysis, and reactive service for the eight (8) machines including two (2) trunnion rotary table attachments located in Hangar 74, JBSA Randolph as outlined in the table below:
