About this file
This document is an attachment to a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) for the procurement of custom sign truck bodies with cranes, SWIFT Event #2000016292. The RFP outlines detailed mandatory and desirable specifications for the truck bodies, including dimensions, compartment configurations, lighting, front-mounted extendable catwalk, knuckle-boom crane, rear-mounted tool crane, air compressor, and inverter requirements. Responders must have been in business for at least 5 years and be either an OEM, authorized distributor, dealership, or upfitting company. The contract will require a pre-build meeting, progress updates, pre-delivery meeting, and post-build FaceTime or real-time viewing prior to delivery. The base chassis will be provided by MnDOT, and the awarded contractor will be responsible for installing the custom body and components.
Pricing must be submitted on a separate Exhibit D: Price Schedule and must include all labor and associated parts/supplies needed for the complete truck build. The RFP does not mention any set-asides, incumbents, or funding sources. It is focused solely on the technical specifications and contractor responsibilities for this custom sign truck procurement.
