About this file
This document is a Janitorial Service Standards and Descriptions Table that details comprehensive cleaning requirements for federal facilities across multiple service categories. The standards cover 13 distinct janitorial service items to be performed with varying frequencies (2-3 times weekly, monthly, or annually), including trash removal, vacuuming, hard surface cleaning, high-touch surface disinfection, restroom cleaning, miscellaneous cleaning, dusting, glass surface cleaning, trash receptacle washing, toilet bowl descaling, carpet cleaning, light fixture cleaning, and emergency cleaning services.
Key specifications include using environmentally friendly and antibacterial cleaning products, HEPA filter vacuums, specific cleaning techniques for different surfaces, and precise standards like 100% trash can liner replacement, streak-free window cleaning, and carpet extraction cleaning twice annually. The document provides detailed standards for each service item, such as disinfecting high-touch surfaces with at least 70% alcohol solutions, cleaning drinking fountains to be free of stains and scale, and responding to emergency cleaning needs within a half-day. The standards are designed to maintain a consistently high level of cleanliness across office spaces, common areas, restrooms, and other facility zones.
