About this file
This statement of structural tests and special inspections outlines the testing and inspection requirements for a project to design an accessible path, walks, planters, and benches at Lake View Site in Indiana Dunes National Park. Required inspections and tests include welding inspections, concrete testing, soil compaction verification, and inspections of steel erection, bolting, masonry, wood framing, soils, driven piles, and cast-in-place foundations. Inspections must be performed by qualified technicians meeting standards from ACI, AWS, ASNT, RCSC, and other organizations. Inspections are required during installation and construction, as well as after completion, to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, and quality requirements.
This federal contract opportunity notice is for accessibility improvements at Lakeview Site in Indiana Dunes National Park. The project scope includes removal of existing structures and construction of an accessible concrete ramp, seating, walks, lighting, and landscaping. The solicitation will be an IFB with an anticipated award date in September 2023. The contract value is estimated between $500,000 and $750,000. The NAICS code is 237990 and it is set aside 100% for small businesses. The contracting office is the National Park Service Midwest Region.
