About this file

This is a Request for Technical Literature for the procurement of 20/10 ton bridge and hoist cranes with a 5 ton auxiliary bridge for Building 400.

Bidders must submit descriptive literature previously used to market the proposed cranes along with their bid. The literature will be used for technical evaluation to demonstrate how the cranes meet specification requirements across twelve major categories: Scope (1.0), General (2.0-2.3), Submittals (3.0-3.3), Electric Hoist Specifications (4.0-4.6), Controls/Switches (4.7-4.9), Electric Hoist Auxiliary (5.0-5.9), Hoist Carriers (6.0-6.3), Bridge System (7.0-7.6), Electrical (8.0-8.4), Acceptance Load Testing (9.0-9.4), Manuals (Note 1), and Warranty (2.1). If preprinted literature does not address all required features, bidders must attach a supplemental letter detailing those features. Literature containing conditional language such as "specifications subject to change without notice," "bid subject to conditions," or "prices subject to change without notice" will result in bid rejection, as such statements do not constitute a firm bid. For product catalog submissions, bidders must clearly cite model numbers and page numbers in Section B of the solicitation and highlight the specific items being bid; failure to clearly identify bid items will render the bid nonresponsive. The reasonable delivery timeline for this procurement is 120 days.

REQUEST FOR TECHNICAL LITERATURE

20/10 Ton With 5 Ton Auxiliary Bridge And Hoist Cranes For Bldg. 400

a. The bidder shall provide, with its bid, descriptive literature that has previously been used to market the proposed bridge cranes.

The literature will be used to technically evaluate the bid and shall describe how the cranes meet requirements of the specification; specifically the paragraphs:

Information Furnished Ref. Paragraph(s)

• Scope: 1.0

• General 2.0-2.3

• Submittals: 3.0-3.3

• Electric Hoist Specifications 4.0-4.6

• Controls/Switches 4.7-4.9

• Electric Hoist: Auxiliary 5.0-5.9

• Hoist Carriers 6.0-6.3

• Bridge System 7.0-7.6

• Electrical 8.0-8.4

• Acceptance Load Testing 9.0-9.4

• Manuals Note 1

• Warranty 2.1

b. The features, which must be addressed in the descriptive literature, are necessary to consider the bid responsive. If the bidder’s preprinted literature does not show all these features, the bidder must attach a letter of supplemental information to the literature describing in detail those required features.

c. The failure of descriptive literature to show that the product offered conforms to the requirements of this solicitation will require rejection of the bid.

d. Descriptive literature furnished under this solicitation that contains statements similar to ‘specifications are subject to change without notice’, ‘bid is subject to the following conditions’, or ‘prices are subject to change without notice’ shall not be considered for an award. The government has no assurance the products offered will conform to the specification; therefore, the bid is not considered a firm bid and will not be considered for an award.

e. Bidders who furnish a product catalog to satisfy this requirement must indicate which item is the subject of the bid by citing (highlighting, marking, etc.) model numbers and page numbers from the catalog in Section B of the solicitation along with the bid price.

Bids that fail to clearly establish what item or items are bid will be considered as non-responsive.
