About this file

This pricing sheet is an attachment to the Invitation for Bids (IFB) issued by the City University of New York (CUNY) Facilities Shared Services (FSS) for vertical transportation systems maintenance and repair services covering the South Region Hub. The solicitation encompasses five CUNY campuses: Brooklyn College (35 elevators, 6 wheelchair lifts), College of Staten Island (23 elevators, 4 wheelchair lifts), Kingsborough Community College (21 elevators, 1 wheelchair lift, 1 stage lift), Medgar Evers College (11 elevators, 1 escalator), and New York City College of Technology (18 elevators). The contract term is five years, and bidders must provide comprehensive maintenance, inspection, testing, repair, and emergency response services for all vertical transportation equipment. All pricing submissions must use this standardized format; proposals submitted in any other format or failing to complete all required yellow-highlighted fields will be deemed non-responsive at CUNY's discretion.

Bidders must provide monthly rates for each year of the five-year contract period, with unit pricing for labor categories including technician and helper straight-time hours (estimated at 500 hours per year), overtime hours (estimated at 100 hours per year), and on-site mechanic coverage at New York City College of Technology (Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). All pricing must be fully inclusive of labor, supervision, transportation, tools, equipment, materials, consumables, administrative costs, overhead, profit, and insurance; no additional charges are permitted without written authorization from the University. Material markup is capped at a maximum of 10 percent above the contractor's actual cost, with CUNY reserving the right to request supporting documentation to verify costs. The estimated straight-time and overtime hours are provided solely for determining the lowest responsible bidder; actual compensation will be based on hours worked and approved by the University, with no guaranteed minimum hours.
