About this file

This is a pricing sheet attachment for an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the City University of New York (CUNY) Facilities Services for Vertical Transportation Systems Maintenance and Repair Services in the East Region. The contract covers preventative maintenance services for elevators, escalators, and wheelchair lifts across four CUNY campuses: LaGuardia Community College (25 elevators, 2 wheelchair lifts), Queens College (34 elevators, 1 wheelchair lift), Queensborough Community College (13 elevators), and York College (14 elevators, 8 escalators, 1 wheelchair lift). The service term is five years with monthly rate pricing required for each year. Respondents must submit pricing in the specified format with all yellow-highlighted fields completed; failure to do so will render the proposal non-responsive unless CUNY determines the information may be waived.

Pricing must be fully inclusive of all costs associated with service delivery, including labor, supervision, transportation, tools, equipment, materials, consumables, administrative costs, overhead, profit, insurance, and incidental expenses, with no additional charges permitted without written authorization. Bidders must provide unit costs for labor categories including Technician Straight Time (estimated 500 hours annually), Helper Straight Time (estimated 500 hours annually), Technician Overtime (estimated 100 hours annually), and Helper Overtime (estimated 100 hours annually). The contract also requires one on-site mechanic at Queensborough Community College for Monday through Friday coverage from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the number of campuses requiring this service subject to change at CUNY's discretion. Material markups are capped at a maximum of 10 percent above the contractor's actual cost, and the University reserves the right to request supporting documentation to verify material costs. Compensation for labor will be based only on actual hours worked and approved by the University, as the estimated hours are provided solely for determining the lowest responsible bidder.
